Obituary


Suzanne Knox, 59, of Auburn, NH died suddenly on Tuesday evening March 29, 2005 at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester. Mrs. Knox was born in Easton, PA on December 20, 1945 a daughter of Kathryn (Brong) Bertolet and the late William Bertolet. She was a graduate of Delaware University and taught school in Dover, DE. She married Capt. Bruce Knox and had three children. They lived in Dover, DE, Ramey AFB in Puerto Rico and Hancock Field, Syracuse, NY. She moved to Auburn in 1976. In addition to her work with the Cub Scouts, Suzanne taught school at the Auburn School and was a Sunday School superintendent at the Longmeadow Congregational Church in Auburn. For the past 15 years she has been volunteering and working in the Miss Derry and Miss NH Scholarship pageants as the co-director.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bruce Knox of Auburn, one son, Stephen Knox of Lodi, NJ, one daughter, Kristen Collins of Colchester, CT, three grandchildren, her mother, Kathryn Bertolet and her brother, William Bertolet both of Pennsylvania, also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Brian Knox in 1990.

There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Saturday April 2nd at 2:00pm at the Longmeadow Congregational Church, Route 121, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to benefit the Longmeadow Congregational Church Building Fund, C/O Jean Worster L.C.C., Capital Campaign, 34 Morgate Drive, Auburn, NH 03032.
