Mr. William James, age 90, of Woburn, died Saturday March 26, 2005, in Wilmington at the Woodbriar Nursing Home after a brief illness. Born in New Haven, CT he was the son of the late Dorothy (Stone) & Thomas Brown.
William has been a Woburn resident for the last 28 years, formerly of Newton where he graduated from Newton North High School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Newton. William worked for Boston Edison for 38 years. He started as a Lineman and worked his way up to Management. He retired in the early 1980´s.
William was the beloved husband of Ezara (Abreu). Devoted father of Patty Rogers and her husband Ronald J. of Cape Coral, FL, Barbara Mansfield and her husband Richard of Lowell, Nancy Jones and her husband Jay of Worcester the late William T. James, and Richard T. James.Beloved father-in-law of Barbara James of Bellingham.
Loving stepfather of Linda Sapienza and her husband Doug of Stow, Patty Langell and her husband Donald of Woburn. Also survived by 17 loving grandchildren and 22 loving great grandchildren. Brother of Dorothy Russo of Rowley, the late Thomas Brown and Robert James.
Funeral from the McLaughlin Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Wednesday at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge St., Woburn at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
