Montyle Hopson Farmer, 78, of Mystic, Georgia, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Berrien Nursing Center in Nashville, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, June 19, 2015, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, with the Rev. Derrell Hampton officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Valley Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 to 8, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Farmer was born April 19, 1937, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Mitchell & Etta Cannady Hopson. She lived in the community all of her life and was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to church and playing BINGO at the nursing home. Mrs. Farmer was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church and formerly attended Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sisters: Bernice & Harry Sutton of Nashville and Essie Bell Dosch of Greenville, South Carolina; a brother: Johnny & Darlene Hopson of Mystic and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Elvin Lamar Farmer and a brother: Mitchell Glenn Hopson.
