Obituary

Domenic D'Ambrosio, of Lynn, formerly of Medford and Boston’s North End, passed away at Tufts Medical Center on June 13th.
The beloved husband of Kelly McEnaney D’Ambrosio he was the devoted son of the late Joseph and Anna (Carbone) D’Ambrosio and devoted son-in-law of Shirley McEnaney and the late Thomas F. McEnaney of Lynn. A dear brother-in-law of John McEnaney and his partner Cathy Voucher of Swampscott, he was a loving uncle to Thomas and Brendan McEnaney both of Swampscott. He leaves his best friend Alexander Bok and his wife Gaye of Boston; his dear cousins: Pasquale (Pat) Coppola, his wife Christine and son Michael of Belmont, Ernie Coppola of Cambridge, his son Robert Coppola of ME, daughter Lisa (Coppola) Moreira and husband Manuel of Winchester, the late Salvatore Coppola and his surviving wife Sandra of Belmont. Domenic was a proud honorary uncle to Michael Testa, Jr. of Stoneham and Richard and Alex Kouymjian of West Roxbury.

A graduate of Boston College High School and Boston University, Domenic did graduate work at BU and Northeastern University. He was a field organizer for many campaigns including those of Congressman Seth Moulton, Boston Mayors Martin Walsh and Raymond Flynn, Presidential Candidate Governor Michael Dukakis, Mayoral Candidate Joseph Timilty and Boston Councilor Rosemarie Sansone. He was Director of Special Events for Boston Baseball Field of Dreams, project to bring Minor League Baseball to Malden. He was the past Coordinator for the Hatch Shell (Mass DCR) and the director of Public Celebrations for Boston Mayor Raymond Flynn. Dom was not only good natured and funny but a once in a generation connector of people. He always was thinking ahead about how to make his time with you special, whether it be a copy of a picture of you from long ago or an anecdote you had long forgotten or a sample of food you adored.

A Funeral Service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday June 19th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home Thursday 4 -8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Domenic’s name to Tufts Medical Center Trust, 800 Washington St. Box 231, Boston, MA 02111.
