Paul Kavanaugh of Medford died Sunday, June 14, at the Park Ave. Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Arlington. Born in Medford, he was the son of the late Francis and Catherine (Murphy) Kavanaugh. Paul proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was the beloved husband of the late Grace (Ryan) Kavanaugh and the devoted father of Paul Kavanaugh Jr. and his wife Diane of Medford, Steven Kavanaugh and his wife Debra of Wilmington. Paul was the loving grandfather of Kerry Kavanaugh and her husband Jason Solowski of Medford, Lori Rosen and her husband Scott of Malden, Paul Kavanaugh III and his wife Christin of Brooklyn, NY, Michael Kavanaugh of Somerville, and Chris Kavanaugh of Wilmington.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, June 18 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, June 17, from 6 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
