Frances G. (Philipp) Oliveira, 83, of Wareham died June 14, 2015 unexpectedly at Tobey Hospital.
She was the wife of the late John R. Oliveira.
Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Anna (Singleton) Philipp, she lived in New Bedford most of her life before moving to Wareham 4 years ago.
Mrs. Oliveira was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years.
She was formerly employed Cameo Curtains for 20 years until her retirement.
Survivors include 2 sons, Lawrence Oliveira and his wife Anne and Brian Oliveira and his companion Joanne Martin, all of New Bedford; a daughter, Barbara Oliveira of Wareham; 2 brothers, Frederick Philipp and his wife Alice of Fairhaven and Harold Philipp and his wife Annette of New Bedford; a sister, Eleanor Doud and her husband Dale of Versailles, MO; a sister-in-law, Anita Philipp of Centerville; 4 grandchildren, Stephen Oliveira, Joshua Cruz, Jeremiah Cruz and Eric Smith; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Kenneth Philipp, Norman Philipp, Gerald Philipp, Dorothy Gurney and Florence Philipp.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, June 18th at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Service at St. Paul's United Methodist Church at 9 AM. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, June 17th from 4-8 PM.
