Arlene C. (Bilzerian) Manos, 64, died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Nursing Home. She leaves her husband of 31 years, George W. Manos; her mother, Queene (Hagopian) Bilzerian of Worcester; a son, William G. Manos of New York City; 3 daughters—Lana Marie Kaishian, Lisa A. McCoy, and Leandra E. Manos—all of Worcester; a son-in-law, Rev. Fr. Sahak Kaishian; a brother, Edward S. Bilzerian of Worcester; 2 grandsons; and 3 nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Jacob Bilzerian and graduated from Classical High School and Salter’s Secretarial School. Arlene was a member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour where she served as Sunday School superintendent, organist, and choir member for many years. She served as a Teacher’s Aide at Lee St. School and in the cafeteria for the Worcester School Dept. She was also a Girl Scout leader and a member of the Royal Arcanum. She had a love of art, poetry, and music and enjoyed playing the piano.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, at Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5-7 p.m., Monday, March 21 at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. A Dahngark service will be held at 6 p.m. during the calling hours.
