Obituary

Priscilla W. Tyler passed away on Saturday March 19, 2005. She was 95 years old. She was the wife of the late Earl C. Tyler who passed away in 1973. She was born in Boston, and was a graduate of the Hickox Secretarial School, and attended the Massachusetts College of Art. She resided in Needham for 27 years where she taught dancing, worked in real estate, was active in church activities as well as the community. She loved traveling, antiques, refinishing furniture, sewing knitting and entertaining. She moved to Cape Cod in 1974 where she became immediately immersed in many activities. She was deeply involved in her church, The First Church of Christ Scientist, in Hyannis. She loved gardening, especially her roses. She taught dancing on the Cape for many years. Her home was very important to her, and it reflected her personality and love of art. She loved antiques , especially her dolls, and while on the Cape she taught herself to play the piano. As a lover of animals, she always had a pet, whether it be a cat, dog or bird. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara E. Alexander, a son , Robert E. Tyler of Gilford NH, one brother, James Wamsley of Chepachet RI, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Needham Cemetery. Memorial donations in Priscilla’s name may b e made to The Animal Rescue League of Brewster, Route 6A, Main Street, Brewster MA 02631 or to Wild Care 84 Underpass Road, P.O.
