Obituary

Frances Lavoie, 80, of Gorham passed away Friday morning June 12, 2015, at Country Village Nursing Home in Lancaster. Mrs. Lavoie was born in Concord, NH on February 14, 1935. She was raised in Gorham and lived in Cascade most of her life. She was a graduate of Our Lady of the Mountains in Gorham. Frances worked for Crown Vantage in the Store House for many years. She was a member of Holy Family Church, V.F.W Ladies Auxiliary, Red Hat Ladies and the Special Olympics.

She is survived by her sons Rick Eichler and wife Karen, Jan Eichler and wife Pam, Michael Lavoie, James Lavoie and Kenneth Lavoie and wife Nora; daughter Marie Louise Eames; grandchildren Rick Dustin Eichler and wife Tracy, Craig Eichler, Raymond Eames and wife Angela, Jay Tonkin and Kenneth Lavoie, Heidi Eichler, Beth Eichler and husband Jon Lapointe; Lauren Eames and partner Mariah Morin; great-grandsons Isaiah Chamberlin, Aiden and Cameron Eames, Isaac and Madeline Dustin-Eichler; step-grandsons Reed Kennard and Nell Valarias and step granddaughter Alysia Nelson and husband Carl; a sister Patricia Storer; step brother Donald Spaulding; many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Marie Louise Caron and Frances Shea Spaulding, her first husband George R. Eichler in 1958; her second husband Victor D. Lavoie in 2013, siblings, Yvonne, Katherine, Diane, Denise and Merton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 18, 2015 at 1PM at Holy Family Church in Gorham. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham on Thursday prior to the service from 10 to 12 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to the NH Special Olympics, 650 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03101, specify donations to benefit the Berlin – Gorham Group.
