William H. Reid, 85, of Derry, NH, died Saturday June 13, 2015 in Aurora Senior Living in Derry. He was born in Knoxville, TN on April 21, 1930, a son of the late Troy and Helen (Lane) Brannon, and had been a resident of Derry since 1997, formerly living in Saugus, MA. Bill was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed for 43 years for the Johnson Heater Corp. in Chelsea, MA, retiring in 1995 as a plant manager. Bill enjoyed fishing and was an avid NE Patriots fan. He also enjoyed volunteering for the Meals On Wheels Program.
He is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Scavo of Methuen, MA, Geraldine Silck of Litchfield, NH, and Deborah Panzieri of Harrisville, NH; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as his longtime companion, Lorie Revels of Derry.
Calling hours were held on Tuesday, June 16th from 4 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Following cremation, private burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
