Obituary

Worcester: John F. "Jack" Ridler, 65 passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 12, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his high school sweetheart and wife of 46 years, Rosemary B. (Lessard) Ridler; a son Kevin Ridler; 5 grandchildren- Jacob Tilleman, Cali, Cameron, and Chase Desiata, and Little Jack Ridler; a sister- Monica Pyle of NJ; and a brother William Heuer Jr. of Holliston. He was predeceased by his daughter Melanie Desiata, 2 sisters and brothers-in-law Jeanne and Bill Eddy and Maryann and Paul McManus; and his step-father William Heuer Sr.

Jack was born in Holyoke, son of the late John J. Ridler and Mary (Ferguson) Ridler Heuer. He graduated from St. Peters High School and worked for many years as a custodian at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Affectionately known as "Mr. Rids" by many, Jack was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, a member of the Worcester Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #4311, was a coach for Joe Schwartz Little League, and enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling. One of his proudest moments was when he bowled a perfect 300 game. He will be sadly missed by all.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary, 25 Fales St. Worcester, MA 01606. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
