Obituary

Antonio “Tony” Hermosillo Jr. born on August 29th, 1993 to Olga & Antonio Hermosillo Sr. He was raised in Prosser, WA along with his three sisters. As a young kid Tony enjoyed riding bikes, horses, and playing with his cousins on the ranch. Tony understood hard work even before he was a teenager as he worked alongside his parents in the fields of the Yakima Valley. Apples and cherries were among the orchards he worked in to help his parents provide for the family. Tony was rarely without a job throughout his young life. He attended Prosser High School playing soccer his freshman year and graduated in 2011. Later that same year Tony met Isabel “Carol” Delacruz who in a short time became the love of his life. On December 20th, 2013, their son Anthony Duante Hermosillo was born marking a new beginning as a young family. Together as hard working parents, they bought their first home in Prosser in July 2014. By this time, Tony was working in construction in the Yakima area and was a valued employee. He was part of Carpenters Union Local 59. Tony’s hobbies included fishing, building things, and fixing up cars. He was talented with his hands and had recently been restoring a 1989 Honda CRX. Tony enjoyed watching football and was a fan of the Seattle Seahawks. Tony had a friendly personality, a big smile, and was well-liked by others. But most of all, Tony was a devoted and loving father who prided himself on caring for Carol and Duante. He loved his parents and extended family very much and would do anything to help them. He would want to be remembered as someone who looked for opportunities in life, believed in hard work, and most of all “family first.”
On June 9th, 2015, Tony’s beautiful soul ascended into heaven to be with the Lord. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. Tony is survived by his soulmate Carol and infant son Duante; his parents Olga & Antonio Hermosillo; sisters Johanna & Stephanie Hermosillo, Carmela Martinez & Brother-in-law Victor Martinez along with nieces Mary, Mariah and Maritza; Other immediate loved ones include Juan, Isabel, Pablo, Angel, & Jesus Delacruz; Raul & Christina Duran.
