On June 11, 2015 DOROTHY R. HAYS, age 100, passed away peacefully with family at her side, at The Kindred Nursing Home in Virginia Beach, VA. From her birth on March 17, 1915 to her death on Thursday, she brightened up the lives of everyone she met and left a lasting impression on all with her joyful outlook on life, her love for the Lord, and her overwhelming kindness and selflessness. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar W. Hays, and brother William Reilly. She is survived by her two sons, Brian Hays and Wayne Hays, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at The Johnson-Fosbrink Funeral Home P.A., 8521 Loch Raven Blvd. (beltway exit 29B) on Tuesday, June 16th from 4 to 7 p.m. All are invited to attend Funeral Services at Parkwood Cemetery on Wednesday, June 17th at 10:00a.m. In lieu of flowers donation may be made in her memory to Samaritan’s Purse (samaritanspurse.org).
