Arthur P. Roukey, 76, of East Bridgewater ,formerly of Abington passed away on Sunday June 7th after a period of failing health, He was the beloved husband of Margaret ”Peggy” ( Connors) Roukey.
He was born in Boston, son of the late Arthur W. and Corrine (Cote) Roukey Arthur received his associate’s Degree from Newbury JR. College.
Arthur served his country in the United States Navy from 1958-1962. He worked in the wholesale meat industry for Carter Veal Company in Boston for many years.
In addition to his wife Peggy, he is survived by his son Paul G. Roukey and his wife Tara and their two sons, Connor and Owen all of Abington, his sisters Eleanor Roukey and Rachel Delong both of FL.and Marie Meraklis of NV.
His funeral services will be held on Friday June 12th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.( RT 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a 9AM funeral mass in the St. Bridget Church , Abington. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 11th from 7:00-8:00PM.Burial will be at a later date.
