Hanson - Eric G. Isakson, 48, died peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2015, following a long illness. A health and medical industry professional, Mr. Isakson was a Worcester native and a 1985 graduate of Burncoat Senior High School.
Born in Worcester on April 27, 1967, he was the son of Harvard and Marie (Flibbert) Isakson of South Yarmouth, formerly of Worcester for many years.
Mr. Isakson attended the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He was employed as a medical records clerk at Fallon Clinic in Worcester before moving to Phoenix, AZ, where he worked in the medical devices industry. He returned to Worcester in 1998 before moving to Hanson in 2010.
Formerly a youth page for the Worcester Public Library, Mr. Isakson enjoyed reading and relished the idea of borrowing library books. He loved hiking, particularly in Sedona, AZ, which was among his favorite places. He traveled to Europe and to the Caribbean, but especially loved Cape Cod.
Mr. Isakson leaves his seven brothers and sisters: Margaret Isakson and her husband, Hans Bok, of North Dartmouth; William Isakson and his wife, Kathleen, of North Oxford; Germaine Bianchi and her husband, John, of Millbury; Kenneth Isakson and his wife, Diane, of Worcester; Marcia Sivazlian of Worcester; Neil Isakson and his wife, Paula, of Worcester; and Lisa Bishop and her husband, James, of Auburn.
He also leaves many nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Elaine Mullins, of Hanson.
There are no calling hours and memorial services are private. Arrangements are being handled by Nordgren Memorial Chapel and All Faiths Cemetery and Crematory, both in Worcester.
