Antone “Tony” Vincent, age 84, of Fall River, passed away on June 6, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Jean Vincent, and son of the late Joseph Vincent Arruda and Emily (Souza) Vincent. He was a medic for the U.S. Army during the Korean War and a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a hard working laborer and later worked for New England Power. He enjoyed camping, a good campfire (he made the best campfires) and coffee and pastries with his friends and family at Shady Acres Campground in Carver. He took great pleasure in a good meal with family and friends and experienced tremendous joy from watching his grandchildren grow.
In addition to his wife he’s survived by his children Kenneth Vincent, Cynthia Vincent Thomas (husband Peter) and Jay Vincent (wife Melissa), sisters Irene Hilario, Elaine Santos and Janet Vallee, grandchildren Nathan and Hunter Vincent, Allie and Casey Thomas and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on THURSDAY here at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernadette’s Church, Eastern Ave. at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery.
