Obituary

Deborah Antunes, 44, of Brockton, formerly of New Bedford died March 19, 2005 at the Embassy House after a lengthy illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Michael Peter Antunes of Midddleboro and Joyce (Barboza) Antunes of Brockton, she was raised in Dartmouth, upstate New York and New Bedford before moving to Brockton.
Deborah attended New Bedford High School and graduated from Narragansett High School in Rhode Island. She later attended Rhode Island Junior College and Southeastern Massachusetts University in Dartmouth.
She enjoyed reading good books, writing short stories and planting gardens.
Survivors include her parents, 2 sons, Michael Anthony Antunes and Stephen F. Gomes, both of Brockton; 5 brothers, Michael Antunes, and his wife Jennie, and Matthew Antunes, all of New Bedford, Juan-Pedro Antunes, and his wife Lisa, of Brockton, Kevin Antunes, and his wife Dora, of Florida, Derek Antunes, and his wife Tina, of Australia; 3 sisters, Juanita Antunes of New Bedford, Dina Antunes of Dallas, Texas, and Wendi Antunes of Brockton; a godchild, Eryka Antunes of Columbia, SC; her friend, Ron Gaston of Boston; several nieces, nephews, greatnieces, greatnephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Wednesday, March 23rd at 8 AM. Funeral Mass Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday, March 22nd from 4-8 PM.
Interment private.
