New Bedford – Francisco S. Fernandes, age 84 of New Bedford, died, on Thursday June 4, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the loving husband of Maria Amelia (Simoes) Fernandes and the son of the late Palmira and Francisco S. Fernandes.
Francisco was born in Castanheira de Pera, Portugal. He moved to this country and work as a computer technician at SMU for many years until his retirement .
His family includes 3 sons: Paul Fernandes of Pleasanton, CA, Tony Fernandes of San Jose, CA , and Luis Fernandes of Franklin, MA; 1 sister: Amelia Fernandes of Portugal as well as 7 grandchildren, 2 daughters in law and 1 niece.
Visiting hours will take place on Monday June 8th from 5-8 pm. In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, MA.
