New Hampshire - Mrs. Maura “Mary “ P. Wilson, age 80 of Tewksbury, originally from the Aran Islands, Ireland died Wednesday, June 2, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry J. Wilson of Tewksbury.
She was born October 12, 1934 in Galway, Ireland a daughter of the late John and Annie (Joyce) Flaherty.
Maura was raised on Inisheere and brought her family up in Tewksbury. Maura’s family was the most important to her. She loved to knit, garden and bird watch. April Fools Day was her holiday. Maura will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
She was the devoted mother of Judith Gates and her husband Wayne of Brentwood, NH, Harry Thomas and his wife Robyn of Methuen, Ellen Malfy and her husband Kevin of Tewksbury and Michael and his wife Lisa of Tewksbury. Cherished sister of Monica Conneely of Inishere, Ireland and to sisters-in-law, Mairead Flaherty and Minnie Flaherty. Loving “Mamo” of Paul and Laura Malfy, Rachel and Robin Gates, Heather Ricker, Michael & Nicholas Wilson. Great grandmother of Lucy and Morgan Malfy of Tewksbury. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mary was pre-deceased by her siblings, John Flaherty, Rev. Michael Flaherty, and Paidraic Flaherty.
Visiting hours are Friday, June 5thh, 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey St and 975 Main St (Rt38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, phone(800 in MA or 978) 851-2950. Her Funeral will begin Saturday, June 6th at 9:00am from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am in St Dorothy’s Church, 11 Harnden St Wilmington, Ma.
