Eddie Mae Mason House, 86, of Omega passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Omega United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Griffin, Allen Mullis and Chris House officiating. Mrs. House will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, June 5, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will be at 1387 Ty Ty-Omega Road in Tifton. Mrs. House will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. House’s grandsons, Dennis House, Jr., Michael House, Chris House, Josh House and her grandsons-in-law, Clint Garrett and Michael McMillan will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. House was born September 9, 1928 in Newton County, the daughter of James Dennis Mason and Lucille Brodnax Mason, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Emmett House, Jr.; one daughter, Glenda House; one grandson, Jessie Mullis; one brother, Albert Mason; and one sister, Frances Hand. She was a homemaker and member of Omega United Methodist Church.
Mrs. House is survived by four sons, Sonny House, Jimmy House, Dennis (Teresa) House and Greg House, all of Omega; one daughter, Mary Jo (Allen) Mullis of Omega; two brothers, Ernest Mason of Henagar, Alabama and Anderson Mason of Oxford; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
