Rev. Bob Gillespie
Evans, GA – Rev. Robert C. Gillespie, husband of Sondra Weaver Gillespie, father of John and Adam Gillespie, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 after having served in eight United Methodist Churches in the North Georgia Conference. His most recent churches included St. Mark UMC in Augusta and Wesley UMC in Evans.
Bob was born in Clarksville, GA. Graduated from Hapeville High School, Georgia Tech, Emory University and he also served as an Officer in the United States Army. Bob will be remembered as a servant who willingly shared his love of Christ with all who passed his way.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Wesley UMC with Rev. Greg Porterfield officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to St. Mark UMC, 2367 Washington Rd. Augusta, GA 30904 or to Wesley UMC, 825 North Bel Air Road, Evans, GA 30809.
