Obituary

“Jack Rabbit”
It is with great sadness the family of Derek Hobbs announces his passing on May 21st, 2015. There isn’t a place in our lives and the lives of his friends that this pain we carry won’t be felt for a long time to come. We have to focus on all of the great times we spent with Derek. I can’t see any other way to get through this.
Remember him smiling at you with those pretty blue eyes. Remember his hugs. Remember his laugh when he was cracking up about something, like all of those big 80’s hair jokes he liked to make about his Mom. Remember his voice when he was singing his favorite songs. Remember him camping, snowboarding, hunting and fishing with you. Remember all those parties, bars and fires, drinking with you. Remember all those awesome Halloween costumes! Remember Trailer Park Boys, Samsquanches, The Goonies and those Tony Montana and Chewbacca impressions. Remember all the drives you took with him to the baseball games, concerts and on the golf courses. Remember ladies like Jack Rabbits dressed up like cowboy. But always remember him at the rodeo, riding them bucking bulls. Remember how much he loved that. Then remember how he felt about you.
Derek had so many friends; we thank each and every one of you for the part you played in his life. We have found so much peace in knowing he was loved by so many. The outpouring of support, prayers and love has been phenomenal.
Derek was born May 9th, 1984. He graduated from Naches High School in 2002. He was employed by Columbia Asphalt for the past several years. Derek was a member of the PBR and was recently sponsored to ride by Northwest Riders.
He leaves behind his Mom Darla (DuPont) Andrews, his favorite munchkin ever, his sister Natalie Andrews, his Aunt Danea (John) King, cousins Jessica McAskill and Madison Pearce and his Uncle Gary DuPont. Also, his Father Timothy (Peggy) Hobbs, and brothers Anthony Harris, Jason Lloyd, sister Amanda Tran & their families. Grandma Nancy Lester, Uncle Todd (Lisa) Lester and family.
