Douglas M. Wright
Augusta, GA – Passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2015, Mr. Douglas M. Wright, 43, loving husband of 15 years to Liz Wright.
Mr. Wright proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. He was passionate about his career as a mechanic at Augusta Harley-Davidson, as well as a Tennessee Vols fan and a Civil War history buff. Mr. Wright was a loving husband, devoted father, and loyal son and brother.
Family members in addition to his wife include his daughter: Hailey Wright; mother: Rebecca Kleeman; father: Oliver Wright; brothers: Michael Wright and wife Susan, Mark Wright and wife Bridgett, Matt Wright and wife Cyna, Chris Wright and wife Jennifer; sister: Debbie Saunders and husband David; father-in-law: Bill Heffernan; loving canine companions: Rebel and Moose; and his feline companion: Spam. He is preceded in death by his stepfather: Sidney Kleeman; brother: Mitchell Wright; and mother-in-law: Nina Heffernan.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Larry Gilpin officiating.
