Samuel R. DeRocco a lifelong resident of Ossining, NY passed away May 31, 2015. He was 93. Mr. DeRocco worked as a custodian for over 30 years for the Ossining School District at Claremont School. He was born in Ossining on December 23, 1921 to Ruggiero and Comforina
DeRocco. Sam was educated in the Ossining School System. Mr. DeRocco served in the US Coast Guard from 1942-1946. On February 27, 1946 he married Doris Campbell. Mrs. DeRocco passed away January 21, 2005. He will be remembered for his love for his grandchildren, great grandchildren, family , nature and animals. Samuel is survived by 2 daughters Cynthia Brown and Sandra Evans, son in law William H. Brown III, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 W. Stevens Ave., Hawthorne, NY 10532 on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Services at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 am. Interment following at Dale Cemetery, Ossining. Arrangements entrusted to John G.
