Hudson, MA
Thomas P. DiPersio Sr., 71, of Sutton, former longtime resident of Hudson and South Yarmouth, died on Sunday, May 31st surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his beloved wife of 48 years, Donna L. Loureiro.
Thomas was born in Marlboro, son of the late Angelo and Viola (Marini) DiPersio. He was raised in Hudson where he resided most of his life and was 1961 graduate of Hudson High School. He was a member of the football and track teams during high school. Thomas worked as a land surveyor for many years and in 1984 he started his company, Thomas Land Surveyors and Engineering Consultants in Hudson. He recently retired as President of the company. In 2005 he moved to South Yarmouth where he has resided the past 10 years. He served as the Vice Chairman on the Planning Board; served on the Design Review Committee and also served as Chairman of the Waste Water Committee in South Yarmouth. Thomas and his wife Donna most recently moved to Sutton. He was always active as a volunteer during his children’s activities in sports as youths and served as the President of the Hudson Youth Football Program. He was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson.
Thomas truly enjoyed all the memorable times spent in South Yarmouth later in his life. He enjoyed going to the beach with his grandchildren and spending time on the ocean sailing. He was an avid Patriots fan and generally followed all the local sports teams. Most of all he cherished his role as a husband, father and later grandfather. He always looked forward to spending time with his family. They will truly miss him and always remember him.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children, Thomas P. DiPersio Jr. and his wife Catherine of Marlboro, Deena Gramstorff and her husband Chris of Sutton and Richard P. DiPersio and his wife Nicole of Hudson. He is also survived by his two sisters, Karen Henderson and her husband Hank of Dennis, Angela Jackson of Acton; his brother, Robert DiPersio and his wife Paulette of Tampa, FL; his 8 grandchildrenl, Jessica, Thomas III and Heidi DiPersio of Marlboro, Alyssa, Jacob and Jennifer Gramstorff of Sutton, Nicolas and Cole DiPersio of Hudson along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 4th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-¬Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
