Joanne M. Flatt
SACO — Joanne (Godlesky) Brown Flatt, of Ocean Park Road, died Saturday, the 30th of May at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine.
Born in 1937 in Greenfield, MA, to Anthony Godlesky and Anna (Ryan) Godlesky, Joanne attended Greenfield schools, graduating from Greenfield High School in 1955. A devoted wife and mother, she raised her family in Deerfield, MA, later living in Washington, Wisconsin, and Indiana before retiring to Maine in 2007.
Joanne was a voracious reader and enjoyed socializing with friends and family. She was particularly devoted to her best friend of 64 years, Sandra Orr, with whom she maintained close contact despite their geographic separation.
She is survived by her daughter Regis Park, son-in-law William Park, granddaughter Elizabeth Park and grandson Christian Park of Saco, ME; sister Irene Radavich of Greenfield, MA; Kellie Flatt of Milwaukee, WI; Eric and Nina Flatt and daughter Shawna of Rock Falls, IL and many devoted nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her first husband Darrell Brown in 1986, son Gregory Brown in 1988, and second husband John Flatt in 2011.

At her request, there will be no memorial service. Her ashes will be buried with her son and husband at Green River Cemetery, Greenfield, MA, at a date to be determined.
