Jeannette (Deneault) Yates, 90, of New Bedford died March 17, 2005 at Hathaway Manor after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Manuel Cabral and the late Clarence G. Yates.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late David and Matilda (Lemieux) Deneault, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Yates was formerly employed as a seamstress at several local textile mills for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed travel and knitting.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Cabral, and his wife Robin, of New Bedford; a daughter, Janice Ashworth, and her husband Gordon, of Rochester; 2 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Albina Yates, Dorilla Landry, Rose Byron, Lillian Fluette, Mary Jane Lyonnais, David Deneault, Peter Deneault and Elsie Welte.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Monday, March 21st at 11 AM.
Visiting hours Sunday, March 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
