Obituary

NATICK: Paul F. Lienhard, age 55, died on Wednesday morning, May 27, 2015, at his Natick home. He was the high school sweetheart and devoted husband of Nancy A. (Antalek) Lienhard, who passed away on the 27th of last month.

A 1977 Graduate of Natick High School, Paul was a son of the late Joseph E. and Patricia E. (Haley) Lienhard. While in high school, he decided to follow in his father’s path and become a plumber. He continued his education at Keefe Tech and became a member of UA Local 448, which was later incorporated Plumbers Local 12. Paul always enjoyed his work and over time became a true craftsman.

Nancy and Paul were married on July 15, 1980, and within a couple of years settled into a home of their own. They created their own tight knit and loving family, sharing all they had to give with their growing children. The family had memorable times on Sebago Lake where Paul liked to fish, teach the younger members of the family about fireworks, and, if no one happened to be looking his way, it was fun just to blow stuff up. He loved holidays, particularly the Fourth of July, preparing for Halloween, listening to the bells of Saint Patrick’s Church, and sharing what he had with others, maybe his skills, maybe material things, but always with kindness and from the heart.

He is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline McCarthy and her husband Charles of Dedham; his son, James Lienhard of Framingham; a grandson, Patrick McCarthy; a brother, Thomas Lienhard and his wife Kathleen of NH; his sisters, Gail Thompson and her husband Stephen of Medway, Patricia Lienhard and Thomas DelMonte of Medway, Kathleen Detweiler and husband Stephen of Marlborough, and Jean Lienhard of Natick; his father-in-law, Bertold Antalek of Natick, his Antalek family, and many nieces and nephews. His brother, Mark Lienhard, and his mother-in-law, Deanna (Waterman) Antalek, also predeceased him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick, on Wednesday, June 3rd at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Tuesday, 4 – 8PM. Donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the Pine Street Inn, Memorial Gifts, 444 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA 02118.
