Lorraine (Muise) Roan age 89 of East Bridgewater, died Thursday May 28, 2015 at Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late Donald F. Roan. Lorraine was born and raised in Brockton the daughter of the late James and Mary (Saulnier) Muise and had been a resident of East Bridgewater since 1963.
Lorraine was a 1943 graduate of Brockton High School where she was voted the best dancer. She also graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston. An avid reader, Lorraine had worked part time at the East Bridgewater Library for 20 years.
When living in Brockton, Lorraine was a member of the former Copeland School PTA and was a Girl Scout leader at St. Margaret Church. She was a long time communicant of St. John Church in E. Bridgewater and a former member of the board of directors of the East Bridgewater Visiting Nurse Association. Lorraine enjoyed the outdoors, swimming and solving all types of word puzzles.
Lorraine is survived by her four children Christopher J. Roan and his wife Maureen of Pace, FL; Thomas F. Roan and his wife Maryann of Whitman; Susan M. Roan of Plymouth and Anne L. Kerrigan and her husband Thomas of East Bridgewater. She also leaves 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Tuesday 8:30 to 10am followed by a service in the funeral home at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
