Joseph Oliveira, age 78, of Fall River, passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 28, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fenais da Luz, São Miguel, Açores, he was the loving husband of Maria Lourdes (Cabral) Oliveira and son of the late Jose Bento and Maria (Medeiros) Oliveira. He was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church for many years. Prior to retirement he worked for the Plymouth Rubber Co. for many years.
Along with his wife he leaves behind his daughter Donna Batista of Fall River and 2 grandchildren Lenny and Thomas Joseph Batista. As well as several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Sunday from 4-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
