Francis A. Ryan, 71, of Medway, passed away on May 17, 2015 with his wife at his side after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Jo Jeffries-Ryan with whom he shared more than 44 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, he leaves his son Jonathan Ryan and his wife Rachel and grand babies Jack and Charlie of Northborough, his beloved sister Katherine Laframboise and her husband Ronald of Tampa, Florida, his niece Erin Kolka and nephew Christopher Laframboise and their children.
He was the son of the late John C. and Marjorie H. Ryan of Stoneham. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Cambridge and Merrimack College in Andover.
He was a loving, quiet and gentle man who was an avid lover of music and was often found playing his guitar and piano. He was interested in military history especially the Civil War, traveling, gardening and being with his family.
Many thanks to the staff and residents of The Estate in Franklin, all were a breath of fresh air to us at the end of his life. We were allowed to maintain our dignity during a difficult time, also to Gentiva Hospice and the many healthcare workers who cared for Frank.
Funeral services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers and donations, expressions of sympathy may be made by doing random acts of kindness for an ill family member or friend. Giving of one's time is always remembered in time of need to bring a smile and an everlasting thank you that you are not forgotten.
