Victoria Andrews, 90

Dateline: Sharon, MA

Victoria (Joseph) Andrews, age 90, of Sharon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton.
She was the beloved wife of the late Clyde A. “Red” Andrews, Sr., to whom she was wed on March 29, 1947 and who died on July 4, 1981.
Born in Boston, MA on April 18, 1925, she was a loving daughter of the late Peter and Athena (Lazar) Joseph. She grew up in South Boston and was a 1942 graduate of South Boston High School.
Victoria had made her home in Sharon for the past 62 years and was a retired bookkeeper having worked for her late husbands business; Red Andrews & Son’s Contracting in Sharon.
Mrs. Andrews was a longtime active member of the First Congregational Church in Sharon and enjoyed crocheting beautiful blankets, which she generously donated to others.
Victoria loved raising and spending time with her family who were the focal point of her life. In later years she received much pleasure of being a big part of her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s activities.
She is survived by her devoted children: Clyde A. “Red” Andrews, Jr. and his wife Jeanne of Foxboro, Donald W. Andrews and his wife Julia of Sharon, James R. Andrews and his wife Lisa of Sharon, Peter A. Andrews and his wife Victoria of Sharon, Christine E. Baker and her husband Skip of Plymouth, NH, Diane V. Jerome and her husband Edward of Mansfield, Darren S. Andrews and his wife Kerry of Franklin and Sharon K. Cullen and her husband Dylan of Sharon and Ireland. She was the dear sister of Georgia Lydon and her husband William of Quincy, Pandora Fielder of South Boston, and the late Adam Joseph, Katherine Kreger and Olga Owen. She is also survived by her cherished 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd at 10:00 A.M. in the First Congregational Church of Sharon, 29 North Main St., Sharon. Burial will follow at the Dry Pond Cemetery in Stoughton.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 1st from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Victoria’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Congregational Church, 29 North Main St., Sharon, MA 00267.
