Clara Mallard Tubbs, 90, of Chula passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Liberty Baptist Church in Tifton with Rev. Steve Tucker and Rev. Gerald Purvis officiating. Mrs. Tubbs will be laid to rest at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends Friday, May 29, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mrs. Tubbs will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Ronnie Duncan, Jordan Duncan, Rocky Sellers, Hunter Sellers, Paul Boyd and John Paul Boyd will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Tubbs was born on October 25, 1924 in Tift County and was the daughter of Will Harvey Mallard and Alberta Feagin Mallard, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Tubbs; four brothers; and a granddaughter. She was a dental assistant and a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Tubbs is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry H. and Linda Duncan of Chula; one daughter, Gloria Sellers of Tifton; one sister, Bobbie Dean of Tifton; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
