Janet Rita Loughman (Morgan), of Westwood, formerly of Mission Hill on May 26, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Loughman. Loving mother of Patricia C. Loughman - West and her husband Michael, Joseph S. Loughman, Jr. and his wife Miriam all of Westwood. Dear grandmother of Emily J. West and Leonardo J. Loughman. Sister of Barbara M. Theberge and her husband Paul of North Andover, Margaret M. Doherty of Beverly and the late Jean F. Krug and her late husband Barrie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Janet was born and raised in Mission Hill, Roxbury and graduated from Mission High School Class of 1955. She worked at B. L. Makepiece in Boston for a number of years when she was a young woman. She devoted many years helping and lending her expertise in the rectory at Mission Church. To those who remember “Pilate’s Daughter” passion plays put on at Mission, Janet was very involved in them. She had a beautiful soprano voice and loved being a member of the choir at both Mission and St Margaret Mary's Church in Westwood. Janet was an intelligent, quick witted and a resilient woman who managed to overcome many of the obstacles life presented. Her faith and family were always her first priority. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help - Mission Church 1545 Tremont St. Roxbury on Monday June 1 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
