Daisy Joiner Ross, 61, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Monday, May 25, 2015, at Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Friday, May 29, 2015, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla with the Rev. Kenny Croft and Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Ross was born November 1, 1953, in Crawfordville, Florida to the late Charles Huey and Sarah Hardy Joiner. She lived in the community most of her life. She was a homemaker and a business owner. Along with her late husband, she owned/operated Rite-Way Trucking. She loved spending time at the beach and enjoyed being with her family. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Randall McCranie & Sandy of Ocilla, Damon Keith Ross & Janet of Brunswick, Daniel Phillip Ross & Marlo of Douglas, Jerry Darrin Ross of Ocilla and Dana Herrington & Jason of Ocilla; seventeen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Gary W. Joiner of Newport Richey, Florida, Johnny & Shannon Joiner of Crawfordville, Florida, Henry & Sherry Joiner of Wray, Sarah Brooks of Ocilla, and Jessica & Jeff Gaillard of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Damon Cecil Ross and four brothers: Charles Joiner, George Joiner, Harry Joiner, and Robert Joiner.
