DUDLEY – Gertrude R. Valade, 85, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 in Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard.
She leaves 2 half-sisters, Beverly Negip of Webster and Mary Czechowski of North Grosvenordale, CT and a half-brother, Charles Valade. She also leaves her closest friend and caregiver, Jeanne Thomas, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her half-brother Joseph Valade.
She was born in Thompson CT, the daughter of Lea (Therrien) Valade and J. Adrien Valade and lived in Dudley since 1932. She moved to Webster Manor 2 years ago.
Miss Valade was a bookkeeper in the accounting department of New England Electric System, now National Grid, in Westborough for many years before retiring.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Webster. She enjoyed traveling.

The funeral will be held Thursday, May 28, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 Thursday morning in the funeral home.
