Mrs. Marie Goodwin Norwood, age 85, of Water Valley, passed away in Yalobusha Nursing Home on Sunday, March 13, 2005 following a lengthy illness. The daughter of Charlie and Beulah Bynum Goodwin she was born in Yalobusha County, and was a member of Jumpers Chapel Methodist Church. She spent her life as a loving mother and wife.
The family will receive friends at Seven Oaks Funeral Home tonight, March 14, 2005, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 in Henry Chapel at Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Reverend Joel Jones officiating. Pallbearers will be: Ralph Norwood, Bluford Norwood, Keny Goodwin, Jimmie Goodwin , Sam Goodwin and Ricky Goodwin.
Mrs. Norwood is survived by her son Bob Norwood and wife Phyllis of Water Valley : Two brothers, James Goodwin of Water Valley, MS and Houston Goodwin of Grenada, MS : one Granddaughter, Natalie Bauer and husband Jason from Spanish Fort, AL, and one Great Granddaughter, Lexi Bauer also of Spanish Fort, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Jessie Norwood, March 31, 2004.
