Obituary

FINNEGAN, George T. Of Dedham, formerly of Mission Hill, May 25. Retired Captain Brookline Police Department. Beloved husband of Clare (Donovan) Finnegan for 50 years. Devoted father of Karen M. Finnegan of Dedham, James M. Finnegan and his wife Brennan of Monroe, CT., Daniel J. Finnegan of Dedham, and the late Brian T. Finnegan. Grandfather of Brian M. Finnegan. Brother of Jeanne Johnston of Walpole, Lois Murphy of Braintree, Margaret Reidy of Plymouth and the late Joan Quinn and Richard Finnegan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. George was a member of the Dedham American Legion.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty and Sons, Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Thursday at 9a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Roxbury, (Mission Church) at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Friday May 29 at 1 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made in George's memory to the Kidney Transplant Dialysis Assoc., PO Box 51362 GMF, Boston, Ma. 02205-1362.
