LACONIA - Kathleen Hammond Wilson died unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep on May 16, 2015 at her home in Laconia, NH.
She was born in Laconia on May 20, 1954. Her parents, Robert W. and Patricia H. Wilson pre-deceased her. Kathy is survived by her sister, Christine Wilson Wallace (Scott) of Ridgefield, CT and by her two nephews, Brian Wilson Wallace (Joanna) of Scarborough, ME and Gregory Marriner Wallace (Kristina) of Somerville, MA and her great niece Elizabeth Charlotte Wallace of Scarborough, ME as well as her aunt Charlotte Wilson Currier of Guilford, CT. She is also survived by her two cats Ashes and Cloud.
Kathy retired after 32 years of teaching in June of 2014. She was a Special Education teacher at Three Rivers Middle School in Pembroke, NH for her entire career. She was also an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Laconia.
Kathy will be remembered for her caring nature and compassion for others, her love of children, her beloved dog and cats and her faith. She was most happy in the summer when she could relax by the lake or the ocean and enjoy the company of her friends and family or read a good book.
A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Laconia in June. Burial will be private.
