Obituary

John B. Kuszynski, 90, of Walpole, died on Thursday, May 20, 2015 at Norwood Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Eileen M. (Bailey) Kuszynski since 1952.

Born in Norwood on July 6, 1924, he was the son of the late Boleslaw and Magdalena (Jakimczyk) Kuszynski.

Mr. Kuszynski was a resident of Walpole for the past 61 years and was a graduate of Norwood High School.

He was a WWII Navy veteran and received the WWII Victory Medal, CAC Wings-3 stars, the American Theatre Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal-3 stars, the Good Conduct Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal-1 star.

Before his retirement, he worked at Bird & Son in East Walpole and had previously worked at the former Hoerner Waldoff in Mansfield.

Mr. Kuszynski was a life member of the Walpole VFW Post #5188 and loved gardening.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, John B. Kuszynski, Jr. and Mark T. Kuszynski and his granddaughter Maria Kuszynski, all of Walpole.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, May 26 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) followed by a funeral Mass at St. Timothy Church, 650 Nichols St. in Norwood at Noon.

Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in South Walpole.
