Albert M. Hill, Sr., 78, of Brookfield passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Gary Cadwell officiating. Mr. Hill will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Timothy Hill, Chuck Hill, DeWayne Hill, Bobby Hill, Toby Hill, Dan Milton, Donnie Acor and Adrian Escobar will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tiffany Bruner, Sherry Bishop, Lee Garren, Shanna Martinez, special extended family members and pu mom and dad's care-givers.
Mr. Hill was born on September 1, 1936 in Tift County, the son of James Monroe Hill and Lillian Viola Vaughn Hill, both deceased. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Hill Johnson Little, who died July 6, 2014; and a grandson, Scott Blalock. He was retired from South Georgia Ice Company and Interstate Battery where he retired in 2014. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood working.
Mr. Hill is survived by his wife, Betty Joyce Smith Hill of Brookfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Randy Blalock of Chula; a son and daughter-in-law, Albert “Doodle” Jr. and Missy Hill of Tifton, his grandchildren, Hunter Johnson, Casey Blalock, Weslyan Johnson and Nikki Henderson; and his great-grandchildren, Connor Wilder and Alanna Edney.
