Fall River – Betty Lou M. (Wells) Manchester-Bernier, 72, of Tiverton, RI died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, unexpectedly at St. Anne’s Hospital. She was the widow of Vernon L. Manchester and Raymond Bernier.
She was born in Newark, New Jersey, daughter of the late Ralph C. and Myrtha V. (Manchester) Wells, and had resided in Tiverton for the past 50 years. Prior to her retirement she was a waitress for Sunderland’s Restaurant, Tiverton, RI for 40 years and worked for Charwell Food Co., Tiverton, RI for 10 years. Mrs. Manchester-Bernier was a member of the Bliss Four Corners Church, Tiverton, RI. She was a former member of Rebecca’s of Little Compton, RI.
She is survived by 3 sons: Kenneth V. Manchester of Florida, Scott C. Manchester of Florida and Glenn A. Manchester of Florida; a daughter: Donnele M. Medeiros of Tiverton, RI; a brother: Richard W. Daley of California; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Bliss Four Corners Church, 1264 Stafford Road, Tiverton at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Friday 4 – 7 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.
