Obituary

East Bridgewater - Bronislaw A. “Brownie” Kaval, 77, of East Bridgewater, formerly of Bridgewater, died Monday, March 7, 2005, at Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Sylvia A. (Maguire) Kaval.

Born July 28, 1927, in Boston, he was the son of the late Stanilaw and Anna (Skirmontes) Kaval.

Mr. Kaval grew up in Bridgewater and was a graduate of Bridgewater Academy High School.

He worked as a mill-rite for Independent Nail Co., starting in Bridgewater, then in Taunton, retiring in 2000, after 55 years of service.

A member of the 49ers Club, Mr. Kaval was also a Union Steel worker.

He was a Red Sox fan, Patriots fan, NASCAR fan, and enjoyed his two cats.

In addition to his wife Sylvia, he is survived by his children, Catherine McCarrick of Rehoboth, and Anthony Costello, Lynn Jutras and Peter Kaval, all of East Bridgewater; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lillian Usowicz.

His funeral service will be held in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rt. 18), Bridgewater, Saturday at 9 a.m.

Visiting hours are Friday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
