Shirley Ann Fleury

TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Shirley Ann (Lomas) Fleury, age 80, a longtime resident of Emily Road in Tewksbury, died peacefully Thursday, May 21, surrounded by her beloved family after a long illness. She was the wife for over 54 years of Normand A. Fleury, who died in 2011.
Shirley was born in Fall River, in February 1935, a daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude (Sousa) Lomas, and was raised in Fall River. She married Normand and lived in Revere and Chelsea, before coming to Tewksbury in 1968 to raise their family.
She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant until retirement, at the Tewksbury Hospital. In her most recent years she worked at the Pines of Tewksbury assisted living community.
Shirley was a communicant of ST. Dorothy’s Church in Wilmington.
She is survived by a son, Wayne R. Fleury of Tewksbury, three daughters, Kim B. Andella of Tewksbury, Debra A. Lucas and her husband Gary of Methuen, and Patricia A. Martin and her husband Richard of Merrimack, NH; ten grandchildren, Jonathan Fleury, Joshua Fleury, Wayne R. Fleury Jr., Brenda McNee, Michael Andella, Christopher Andella, Kerry MacLeod, Kristen Karabelas, James Lucas and Eric Nelson; eight great grandchildren, Brittany, Milena, Saidy, Wilson, Adam, Charlotte, Kendra, and Sophia; a sister Barbara Lomas of Seekonk, and many nieces and nephews.
She was also sister of the late Edward T. Lomas Jr.
Visiting hours Wednesday, May 27, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER. Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. Her funeral will begin Thursday at 10:45 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main St. (Rte 38) Wilmington.
