Lee E. Moore, 72, of New Bedford died March 7, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Maria A. (Medeiros) Moore.
Born and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana, the son of the late Elie and Bertha (Segura) Moore, he traveled the world while in the U.S. Air Force before retiring to New Bedford in 1978.
Mr. Moore was a communicant and active member of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years during the Korean War and the Vietnam War before retiring as a Techincal Sergeant.
Mr. Moore was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Dr. C.E. Burt Chapter 7 in New Bedford .
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Terry J. Moore, and his wife Robin, and Rodney J. Moore, all of New Bedford; a daughter, Leeanna Moore, and her partner Wendy Hensel, of Cleveland, Ohio; 4 sisters, Elia Boudreaux, Grace Walker, Lelia LeBlanc and Lillian Adams, all of Louisiana.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Friday, March 11th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday, March 10th from 4-7 PM.
Burial with Military Honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
