Ora Y. (Mandeville) Alves, 80, of New Bedford died March 6, 2005 at home after a long illness.
She was the widow of Lawrence Alves.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Arcade and Rosanna (Guy) Mandeville, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Alves was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
She was formerly employed by several local Textile Mills for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include one brother, Edward Mandeville of California and one sister, Irene Thomas of New Bedford.
She was the sister of the late Victor Mandeville, Roger Mandeville and Rose Berube.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Wednesday, March 9th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday, March 8th from 3-6 PM.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
