Brian W. Tangney, Jr., 25, of Holden, beloved son of Brian W. Tangney, Sr. and Anne T. (McGinn) Tangney passed away Wednesday, May 20th. Along with his parents, he leaves two sisters, Grace Tangney of Albany and Olivia Tangney of Holden; his paternal grandmother, Mary (Salvatore) Tangney of Worcester; his maternal grandmother, Lillian (Griffin) McGinn of Worcester; the love of his life, Brittni Wise of Worcester; many aunts and uncles; cousins, who were his best friends; and friends who were his brothers.
Brian graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in 2008 where he was a dynamic member of cross country and track teams. He was scheduled to graduate from Quinsigamond Community College on Thursday, May 21st and was looking forward to helping people as a respiratory therapist. In January, Brian went to Haiti to volunteer and do relief work with Mission of Hope. He was a driving instructor and motorcycle driving coach for Central Mass Safety Council. Brian enjoyed playing his guitar and riding his motorcycle.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday, May 24th from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. His funeral is Monday, May 25th with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street.
