Helen T. (Thompson) McGill a Dover resident for 76 years died on Monday February 28th at her home. She was 101 years old. Mrs. McGill was born and grew up in Reading MA. She was a graduate of Wheaton College Class of 1924. Mrs. McGill married her late husband Thomas in 1929. She taught school in Reading, Dover and Rockland, retiring in 1936. Mrs. McGill was a former Library Trustee, Salvation Army Agent for the Town of Dover, a member of the Dover Alliance, active member and Deaconess of the Dover Church. The beloved wife of the late Thomas S. McGill, she was the aunt of Susan McGill of Dover, John R. McGill of Mattapoisett, Charles S. Bean of Westwood, Richard McGill of Medfield, James K. McGill Jr. of Dover, the late William B. and Robert T. McGill. Cousin of Evelyn Ramsdell and Ethelda Hagan. Also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, great, great nieces and nephews and 3 great, great, great, nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held at the Dover Church, 17 Springdale Ave on Sunday March 6th at 1:30 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
