FALL RIVER - Angelina “Angie” and “Bo” (Costa) Martin, age 100, wife of the late Oliver Martin, residence 4901 No. Main St., Fall River, MA. formerly of 140 Essex St., Fall River, MA, died Monday at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center. She is survived by, one daughter: Shirley Hackett of Australia, one sister: Anna Melford of Somerset, MA, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Thomas Martin, and sister of the late Manuel “Surp” and Sanplis “Sam” Costa, and Mary Alfonso.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Sanplis “Sam” Costa and the late Mary (Cordeiro) Costa. She lived mostly in Fall River, then Swansea, and back to Fall River. Before retiring, she was a Spinner at the Sagamore Mills. She was a former member of the Holmes Apts. Senior Citizens Club and a member of St. Michael Church.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St. on Friday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St. Fall River at 10:00 A.M. Calling hours Thursday 4-8 P.M.
