TEWKSBURY - Mary M. (Hollohan) Garcia, age 87, died Wednesday, May 20, at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife for forty-seven years, of John W. Garcia Jr., who died in 1995.
Mrs. Garcia was born in East Boston, January 26, 1928, one of six children of the late Michael F. and Monica (McQuarrie) Hollohan, and was raised in East Boston. After her marriage, they lived in Melrose before they moved to Tewksbury to raise their family. Mrs. Garcia was a communicant of St. William’s Parish for the past sixty-three years.
She is survived by four children John W, Garcia III of Conway, NH; Mary Margaret Smeltzer and her husband Allan of Andover, Michael Garcia and his wife Sandra (Hamm) of Tewksbury, Ellen M. Garcia and her husband Anthony O’Connor of Westford; seven grandchildren, John W. Garcia IV, Patricia Garcia, Michelle Garcia, Michael Garcia Jr., Matthew Garcia, Evan O’Connor, Colette J. O’Connor; five great grandchildren, William Brown, Christopher Brown, Paige Powers, Makayla Garcia and Rylee Garcia; and many nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Augustine Hollohan, Joseph Hollohan, Richard Hollohan, Michael Hollohan Jr., and Theresa Cahalane; and mother-in-law of the late Harriet (Love) Garcia.
